Responsibilities: - Address customers' complaints or concerns - Recruit, train and supervise staff - Participate in marketing plans and implementation - Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities - Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices - Ensure health and safety regulations are followed - Develop, implement and analyze budgets - Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies - Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance - Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
Birchwood Coffe K'o is a fast-paced environment, the Assistant Manager must be able to work under pressure, complete repetitive tasks, have attention to detail, be able to stand for extended periods, meet tight deadlines, supervise a staff of 5 to 10 people and understand that overtime will be required. The right candidate will have effective interpersonal skills, flexibility, strive for accuracy, be a team player, have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, be client focused, dependable, reliable and organized.
Preference will be given to those candidates who are youth, Indigenous or bilingual. Position will be available as of June 4, 2018.
